Update: Chrispus’s surgery on his left hip was a success. We express our heartfelt gratitude to all the doctors and nurses at Shriners Hospital in Chicago. He is recovering remarkably and has regained his smile and laughter! However, he deeply misses Georgetown, KY. He will require ample rest in preparation for his next surgery.

Update on Chrispus’s Surgical Journey Chrispus has been approved to undergo surgery at Shriners Children’s Hospital in Chicago, with two scheduled procedures: the first on October 31st and the second on December 5th. Following the surgical procedures, Chrispus will participate in a rigorous rehabilitation program to guarantee his well-being is at its peak prior to his journey back to Uganda. This preparatory stage is vital for his recuperation and long-term movement capabilities. Enjoyment of Time in KentuckyWhile in Kentucky, Chrispus has thoroughly enjoyed his experiences, participating actively in school and field trips, and trying new activities. This opportunity has been invaluable for his personal development and social interactions. We want to express our heartfelt thanks for the kind contributions we have received, which have played a crucial role in aiding Chrispus on his path. Our mission Sarah’s Heart Foundation has been a source of light for Chrispus, offering specialized support to children in Uganda facing health challenges like Cerebral Palsy. Our mission is to provide them with opportunities for medical treatment at Shriners Hospital in Chicago, which is not readily available in their country.
